Sen. Clinton just pause her campaign, not disbanded till now (for your info- read New York Times).
Party nomination not brings strong standing in the party. Where is John Kerry now?. All depends on their family connections and influential supporters.

Buying a house is a risky proposition on H1 specially considering the fact that if one is laid-off and needs to relocate within a short-time then one may end up loosing money. Besides getting into the hasseles of home maintainence is trouble-some and expensive and probably not worth the time and effort if one is uncertain about their future in this country.
Having said that if an individual is good at taking calculated risks and has a secure job then rewards are truly exceptional. I would rather wait atleast till the time of filling I-485 before making any long-term investments in this country. I know lot of my friends are probably going to do the same.

3) H1B 9th year going on.

Do you guys really think this bill will become a law that too in its current state and the added amendments? I seriously doubt it. If it is then dont you think the corporate business lobby that has fought really hard to increase the h1 b's to 115000 would have just sat mum while the H1 B fees were increased? I think this bill is just getting too absurd to become into law. I dont know but it would be interesting to hear what the businesses have to say with the increase in h1b fees.
May be I am totally wrong but just thought of posting this because I have been reading so many depressing posts from everyone. Have hope and faith. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Plus, to add to the complication, I've also confirmed ticket to meet them at Frankfurt on their way to US. My Euro vacation for a week would collapse and have to cancel everything.
I'm try to keep myself sane. There are much worse situations people are facing in this forum ( for example, a ninth pregnant lady getting laid off).
Just hoping (and praying) that this can be solved smoothly.

Hmm , interesting ... I have two EB2 I-140 from the same company as well , one for March 05 (non-RIR->BEC->RIR->approved) and the other for Sep 06 (PERM) and according to my attorney my March 05 PD is applied to my 485.
I was just sitting with both hands together since my dates are not yet current, may be I should call NSC and make sure the correct PD is assigned to my case. So you just call (T/N)SC using POJ method and ask a polite IO about this if you get hold of one ? would an infopass help ?
